Kaya
Beauty boy, grace, sexy, and elegance are the themes of Kaya, one of Japan's most prominent vocalists.
First gaining notoriety as the vocalist of the EBM phenomenon Schwarz Stein, Kaya embarked on a solo career starting in 2006. With song writers such as Hora (ex. Schwarz Stein), Kalm (ex. Velvet Eden), and Hizaki (Versailles), Kaya's songs have wide range from electronica, to EBM, to trance, to symphonic, and jazz. His vocal ability is unparalleled as he graces every song with his soulfully powerful, operatic singing that leave lasting impressions on those that hear it.

Velvet Eden - Dada & Kalm
The band's ethereal sound, often compared to Depeche Mode, is accompanied by Dada's deep-pitched and frequently distorted vocals, along with hypnotic performance. Their song lyrics are based on a series of stories created by Dada, often from the point of view of one or more characters (which include a fortune teller, spiders, and a prostitute named Alice, among others). His explanation of these stories can be found translated to English here: http://www.lerman.biz/asagao/velvet_eden/storyline.php
The band ended in 2002 when Dada, said to be displeased with the more rock-styled direction in which their music had been turning, suddenly didn't show up to a live gig. No official statement was ever released. Other members took turns on vocals for a few shows, before renaming the band to The Velvet (which has also disappeared without official comment).
In addition to his work with Velvet Eden, Dada is also known for an earlier brief stint with the band Pride of Mind, in which he was credited as Yusuke Gotoh (which may or may not be his real name). He has contributed artwork to Dir en Grey, and is also widely recognized as a drag fetish/fashion model. Kalm has also been involved with several projects - most notably, composing for Kaya of Schwarz Stein (a duet which Hora, a member of Velvet Eden's second lineup, had gone on to) and other artists - some of his new work can be found on his official Myspace.

RIP - Alexander McQueen, i miss you
Among the fashion community who congregated in the Knightsbridge house of worship were Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Daphne Guinness, designer Stella McCartney, Steven Klein, Edward Enninful.
Afterward, a hearse wearing the designers real first name of Lee was spelled out in white flowers
A memorial service is planned for friends and fans for later this year. No date has been set.
Lady Gaga might have won all three Brit Awards she was nominated for Tuesday (February 16), but it was her avant-garde tribute and performance to late friend and British fashion icon Alexander McQueen that stole the show.
The star took to the stage in all white and sat at her piano before kicking off her performance with an acoustic version of her song "Telephone." "This is for Alexander McQueen," she told the crowd. The stage was decked out in white, and perched on a pedestal was a statue of what seemed to be Gaga wearing a piano skirt and the now-famous McQueen lobster-claw heels she wore in her "Bad Romance" video.
Gaga Steals the Show at the Brit Awards
She then got up from her piano as the disco groove of "Dance in the Dark" boomed throughout the room. In her lace bodysuit and over-the-top bouffant wig, she took to a giant keytar and dazzled the crowd with a techno rendition of the track. She then listed off names of fallen icons like Sylvia Plath and Judy Garland.
The pop star arrived to the show dressed in a white dress and the same wig she wore onstage later that night. According to reports, Gaga retooled her whole performance to pay tribute to McQueen at the show.
She later tweeted, "Tonight's performance is inspired by our friend. Mask by Phillip Treacy, Sculpture by Nick Knight, Music by Lady Gaga. We miss you."
Last week, after news broke about McQueen's death, she tweeted a photo of the two of them as a tribute to her late friend.

Tim Burton: Alice in Wonderland
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Tim Burton believes author Lewis Carroll's 19th century story, "Alice's Adventures In Wonderland," screamed out for a 3-D film because of its surreal elements, or what the director calls its "trippyness."
Burton's movie "Alice in Wonderland" opens on March 5 as the next film in a line of highly anticipated 3-D movies that has Hollywood watching closely. The most recent 3-D film, sci-fi adventure "Avatar," has shattered box office records on its way to nearly $2.5 billion in global ticket sales.

Giorgio Armani to Design for Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga is known for her 'love it or hate it' fashion sense and it seems that designer Giorgio Armani has stationed himself firmly on the 'love it' side and designed several outfits for just for her to use on stage during her current concert tour. Shown here is one of the creations, a sparkling structured bodysuit with plunging neckline and exaggerated shoulders, and others include a floor-length black trench and a mini-dress with dramatic mirror effects. All the outfits are made with matching shoes and sunglasses, also by Armani, who was quoted on Lady Gaga as saying "In addition to her formidable songwriting skills, she is a modern fashion phenomenon."
